This connector is currently in beta and subject to change.

The Sisense Jira connector is a standalone connector that allows you to import data from Jira into the ElastiCube Manager. After you have downloaded and installed the connector, you can connect through a connection string you provide Sisense in the ElastiCube Manager. The connection string is used to authenticate users who want to connect to Jira.

Once you have connected to Jira, you can import a variety of tables from the Jira API.

This page describes how to install the Jira connector, how to connect to Jira with a connection string, and what tables you can import into the ElastiCube Manager:

Adding Jira Tables to Your ElastiCube

After you have installed the Jira connector, you can import your data from Jira by connecting with a connection string. The connection string contains your Jira users credentials. Jira uses the connection string to authenticate your account and allow you to extract the relevant data for your account.

The connection string to Jira is in the following format:

For example:

You Jira connection string should include the following parameters, separated by a semicolon ;.

User: You Jira username.

Password: Your Jira user password.

URL: The URL for your JIRA REST API endpoint.

Timeout: The value in seconds until the timeout error is thrown, canceling the operation.

To add Jira data:

  1. In ElastiCube Manager, click Add Data and then, Jira. The Connect to Jira window is displayed.
  2. In Datasource Connection String, enter your connection string.
  3. Click Connect to Server. Jira is displayed in the Select Database list.
  4. Click OK. Sisense connects to Jira and displays a list of tables available for you to import.
